The Center for Sustainability has great potential to help prepare Santa Barbara City College students to address environmental and social challenges, help create a sustainable campus that serves as an example and a living laboratory, and strengthen community connections while making positive change. We cannot, however, continue to do this on our own. The fact is we need your financial support to hire staff, initiate programs, and create opportunities for education and training in the community.
We have done a great deal with only a 1/2 time coordinator and a handful of volunteers. Imagine what we could accomplish with a full-time staff person, student internships, and consistent program funds.
